T-Shirt Quilt Class

Learn how to transform a pile of well-loved T-shirts into a meaningful quilt that preserves memories and looks professionally made.
The class will focus on how to prepare and cut t-shirts, choosing fabrics, and arranging the design layout.You’ll walk away confident in stabilizing stretchy materials, planning layouts, selecting complementary fabrics, and cutting accurately for clean, squared blocks.
- T-Shirt Quilts Made Easy — by Martha Deleonardis (available at the shop)
- Freshly washed T-shirts (average 9–15 pieces) or other clothing items
- Fusible interfacing: minimum 3 yards or ½ yard per T-shirt (french fuse available at the shop)
- Fabric yardage (varies by design — most patterns in the book list yardage suggestions)
- Bring fabrics from home you want to incorporate. We’ll also pull curated options from the shop for inspiration.
- Rulers: 24” and large square (at least 12½" x 12½")
- Rotary cutter with a sharp blade
- Sharp scissors
- Marking pens — light & dark
- Sewing machine & basic sewing supplies
