Panel Mash Up!
We all know that panels are a great way to jump start a quilt project, but they can be boring if all we do is add a series of borders. In this class you will discover a great book of patterns for making beautiful, interesting quilts with panels of all sizes. We will learn how to trim the panels so that they are square and to size. Prior to class you should choose a panel and a pattern from the 21 options in the Panel Mash Up! book. You are welcome to select the required fabric before class, or let me help you choose just the right colors inspired by the panel art. This two session class will give you plenty of time to get your panel trimmed, your other fabric cut and significant progress made on your quilt. You may even get a second quilt started!
(Please note: This is NOT a Stripology class, although many of the patterns in the book are written by Gudren Urla. However, most of the patterns are Stripology friendly, and if you are comfortable with the Stripology ruler you are welcome to bring it to use.)

Required Supplies:
- 24.5" x 6.5 ruler (or 24.5" x 8.5")
- 12.5" square ruler
- rotary cutter
- sewing machine
- seam ripper
- general sewing stuff: seam ripper, thread, machine needles, bobbin, thread snips, etc.
- Panel Mash Up! book
- Panel for your selected pattern
- other required fabric
Optional supplies:
- Stripology Ruler (see note in the class description)
- Large format ruler (I like my 16.5" square for trimming up panels)
